About

Welcome! I’m Amélie Peccoud, a passionate musician, educator, and composer based in Northern Colorado with a mission to nurture the next generation of musicians through comprehensive instruction and inspiring mentorship while also captivating audiences with my performances and original music.

Currently, I serve as a Violin Teaching Artist with the Denver Young Artist Orchestra, where I lead after-school programs for young musicians. In this role, I focus on building a solid foundation in violin technique, music reading, and overall musicianship.

In addition to my work with DYAO, I mentor young violinists with the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestra, offering guidance during rehearsals and concerts. I also contribute as the Assistant Director of ¡Más Música! - a new outreach initiative through the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestra.

I maintain a small but mighty studio with the Boulder Symphony Music Academy, where I teach violin and viola to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music education is a transformative journey that nurtures creativity, emotional expression, and lifelong learning. I am dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where students of all backgrounds can explore and develop their unique musical voices.

My performance activities include playing as a section violinist with the Boulder Symphony Orchestra and stepping in as a substitute violinist with the Symphony of the Rockies.

My compositions are driven by a deep passion for storytelling and blending genres. I aim to take audiences on a musical journey of highs and lows, victories and defeats, celebrating the shared human experience that unites us all.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Colorado State University, graduating magna cum laude. My education included extensive coursework in violin and viola pedagogy, which continues to inform my teaching practice today.

Feel free to connect with me to learn more about my teaching, performance, or to discuss potential collaborations!
